Plantation

  1. What We Do
  2. Plantation

Aahwahan’s Green Revolution

Aahwahan commits not only to the well being of the poor, but also shares an equally important commitment towards Mother Nature. Just as the saying goes, “A seed planted today, grows its branches tomorrow” , we do believe that we must give back more than what we take from Mother Nature.

To honor our commitments, we have made giving back to Mother Nature an inseparable motive and driving force of our work. Thus, comes in the tree plantation drives. We encourage planting trees in all geographical areas we operate upon. Our obligation to look after out Mother Nature makes Tree Plantation drives one of the much awaited events in our organization. Every individual, associated with Aahwahan strongly believes that planting a tree is as pious as giving life; if not more.

We are an organization making an impact and trying to change the society for the greater good of the people living in it. But, we also know that our Earth is suffering from the atrocities of her own children’s and if we truly want to bring about a change in the society, we cannot leave behind our Mother Nature. Society and nature goes hand in hand and this is what we at Aahwahan want to showcase to the world.

We all know about the benefits that come from trees. More oxygen for us, keeps the global temperature under control, etc. In short, we can come to a conclusion that trees develop the overall ecosystem and we, humans are one of the most important habitants of this very ecosystem. Our very existence is woven with this ecosystem. Yet, we destroy our very own existence every day. There is a very famous proverb that says, “We, the people, for the people.” And at Aahwahan, we do solemnly follow this saying; but we also have another proverb that’s very much popular amongst us. It goes like this: “We, the people, for the planet”.

In the early 1900’s, it was Sir Jagdish Chandra Bose, who proved that plants breathe just like us and live just like us. With every sapling we plant, we are gifting a new life to Mother Nature, a life that will one day grow to contribute to our ecosystem in the most positive way.

Our vision and belief that trees play an equally important role in building a good society is shared by many researchers. Several studies prove that greenery has a positive effect on our overall well being and also leads to healthier communities. It contributes to cleaner water, air and helps preserving our natural resources to name a few.

Aahwahan as a flag bearer of this beautiful initiative has planted more than 70,56,825 (7.5 Million) plants till date spreading the green revolution wherever we went, not only making societies better but at the same time making this planet rich by one tree at a time. Our initiative in starting this green revolution has brought upon us many laurels and recognition from many national and international bodies. Yet, we know, that the road is long ahead, and we will glue in to our green revolution initiatives for as long as we exist. We urge everyone reading this to come, and be a part of our beautiful initiative. Trust us, there is no better feeling than planting a tree and knowing that you have done a great deal, not only to the society but the planet as a whole, and, most importantly, knowing that the sapling planted by you is a life, a gift from you to the planet.
